The inspiration for Songbird rose from connections with the families of those living with developmental disorders and intellectual difficulties. So, it’s no wonder we go beyond the provision of support services for people with disabilities, taking the time to understand, appreciate and work closely with the loved ones who surround them.
In April 2015, we opened our first three homes, supporting nine NDIS participants. We quickly established ourselves as an industry leader, recognised as the 2016 Disability Service of the Year.
Today, Songbird is instrumental in providing safe and secure accommodation to dozens of individuals across many group homes in Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter. In addition, we deliver an expanding number of services to assist people with disabilities to become an integral part of their communities.
With the unwavering dedication of our staff, partners and supporters, Songbird will continue providing support to empower the people we serve to go beyond limitations.
